WHY SKA BASH 4 SASH?
2016 was our first Ska Bash 4 Sash, one year after the passing of our Sasha. It remains a way of celebrating her zest for life whilst combining with her love for ska music. After listening to it endlessly through her dad, Chris, to inevitably joining him to live gigs, Sasha’s style and music tastes swiftly morphed into his. She would soon be lost without her hat and would always be able to hear her coming with the thundering footsteps of her Dr. Marten boots, she was hooked.
Gutted to be spending her 19th birthday in hospital, a joint party was to be planned between Sasha and Michelle of obtaining a ska band to celebrate, sadly Sasha succumbed to her illness before being released from hospital. A decision was made by Sasha’s family to every year, close to Sasha’s birthday or anniversary, hold a Ska Bash to raise money for charities which had supported her throughout her battle until Sasha Would’ve Loved It was formed to support teenagers and young adults in Cornwall.

A massive thank you to everyone that came out and supported our 10th Ska Bash 4 Sash. Everybody's continuous support does not go unnoticed, from all the shares on social media and ticket sales to making the effort to head out to our event and making it such a great night. The night raised just over £2350.00 and we couldn’t be more grateful. The atmosphere and energy supplied by Ska’d for Life, outdid themselves for us and definitely had us skanking all night long. To feel everybody's support and care for our charity all these years later is truly heartwarming in keeping our Sasha’s ska zest alive and thriving.
